Using the Course Search Filters

Our Course Search filters are designed to help you quickly narrow down your search results to find the most relevant courses for your student.

Filters Experience

You can access two filters (Intakes and Destination Country) on the Course Search page. To see more filters, click the More Filters button. The filters are shown in a left-hand panel with the course results slid to the right allowing you to view your selections and the course results at the same time.

The Course Search filters are organised into three categories: Student Details, Institution Filters and Course Filters.

Most of the filters can be used by drop-down selection. Others are ‘slider’ filters where you can click and drag the green box to make your selection or click the arrows against the green box to make a more specific selection.

Whenever a selection is made, the course results automatically update.

The selections made are shown in the relevant filter’s field. You can click the ‘x’ against a selection to remove it or use the ‘Clear all’ button to reset all filters back to the default settings.

Student Details Filters

This section includes the following filters:

  • Nationality - this will be greyed out if conducting a search with a student. This is because Nationality is set when creating a student.

  • Country of Residence - only relevant for onshore students. This filter will be greyed out if conducting a search with a student because the Country of Residence is set when creating a student.

  • Language Requirements

  • Higher Education Level - use this filter to search for courses relevant to the Academic Achievement of your student.

More about the Academic Achievement Filter (Highest Education Level)

Under Highest Education Level, select either Post Graduate, Undergraduate or 12th Grade / High School.

When Post Graduate or Undergraduate is selected, relevant results at all education levels will display. You can further filter your results using the keyword search or the other filter options.

If you select 12th Grade / High School, you can then select the type of Grading System that was used to obtain the result and then enter the result achieved or is expected to achieve by the intake date.

The course results will be displayed with badges indicating how well-matched the student’s grades are to the course’s entry requirements. The badges are explained here.

Please note: Only bachelor-level programs (where high school entry requirements are provided) are displayed. Each course listed will be shown with the relevant badge.

Institution Filters

This section includes the following filters:

  • Nearest City

  • Institutions

  • Reported Turnaround Time - this is the turnaround time (from application lodgement to offer) advised by the institution.

The institution filters are designed to update when other filters are selected. For example, if you select the Destination Country as Canada, the Nearest City filter will only display the relevant cities in Canada and the Institutions filter will only display institutions found in Canada. If you select Vancouver in the Nearest City filter, only institutions in Vancouver will display in the Institutions filter.

You will notice in the Institutions filter that the number of courses is indicated against each institution listed. This will update if other filter selections are made or if keywords are added to the search.

The listed institutions in the filter may also be indicated with a ‘DRIVE’ label. These are our Adventus Drive partner institutions - highly active in our marketplace, averaging lower turnaround times and higher acceptance rates and are some of the most popular student destinations.
