How to use the Student Portal

The Student Portal is available for recruiters who are on Power, Growth or Enterprise plans.

Log in to the Student Portal

After you have added your student’s profile details into the Adventus.io portal, an email is automatically sent to your student with a link to the Student Portal and a request to change their password.

1

2

You can resend the email by using the link in the Student Profile under the student’s email address.

3

Navigate the Student Portal

The Portal gives your student the ability to search for courses, upload their documents and enter your profile details.

Note that students are not able to use the Portal to lodge applications with Institutions. This must be done by you, their Counsellor.

On logging in, the student is presented with the Landing Page.

There are five steps activity steps the student can progress through:

1.    Courses
2.   Shortlist
3.   Profile
4.   Documents
5.   Review

It is recommended that the steps of the process be completed in order.

Shortlist

In this step, your student can shortlist and rank their course selections. The number of courses that the student can shortlist depends upon your Product Plan (for details see adventus.io/pricing).

To create a course shortlist:

1.   Click Shortlist on the Landing Page.  You will notice the page is divided into two sections - Saved Courses and Shortlist.
2.   To send a saved course to the Shortlist, click the +Shortlist button  against the course.  Repeat for other courses. You can then arrange the Shortlisted courses by rank using the up and down arrows.

8

When you click +Shortlist, a pop-up box appears requesting that you select a preferred intake for that course.

24

Once you have selected a preferred intake, the details will be shown on the course card in the Shortlist.

9

To remove a course from the Shortlist::

1.   Click -Shortlist button against the Shortlisted course.  This puts it back into the Saved Courses list.

 10

If you don't want a particular course any more, you can click the Save button.

11

To rank the shortlisted courses by preference:

1.   Click the up and down arrows against the relevant course to change its position in the ranking.
12

13

Note:  In order for an application to be submitted by you, their agent, your student needs to have at least one course in your Shortlist, that is, the Shortlist area cannot be empty. If the course in your Shortlist is not required, move another course into the Shortlist and then remove the original, unwanted course.

Course Recommendations in the Shortlist

When your student has shortlisted their saved courses, you may see a recommended course appearing under the list of shortlisted courses. This gives you the opportunity to consider other suitable course options you may have missed in your initial search.

The course displayed is a good fit with the courses your student has selected, matching closely to study area, destination, course level, course cost, grade and language requirements.  The recommended course can be saved and added to the shortlist, if desired. You can also click on its course card to view more information about the course.

The Documents step on the Landing Page shows the percentage of required documents that have been uploaded.

25

To upload documents:

1.   Click Documents on the Landing Page or if you are in the Profile page, click CONTINUE TO DOCUMENTS.

Required documents are displayed under three headings - Application Documents, Acceptance Documents and Visa Documents.

3.   Click Upload a Document at the top of the page and upload/open the document
4.   Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the document will be listed.

19

5.   Select the Document type
6.   Repeat steps 2 - 5 to upload more documents

  • You can use the download icon (   21 ) to download the document.

Review

In this step, your student can review all the information they have entered in their student profile forms. The Review step on the Landing Page displays the status of the review.

22

To undertake a review:

1.   Click Review on the Landing Page, or if you are in the Documents page, scroll down to the bottom and click CONTINUE TO REVIEW.

The Review page displays the courses included in the shortlist and the sections of the student profile.

3.   If you need to change the shortlist, return to the Shortlist step to update the shortlist.

All Finished

Once everything is finalised, your student can’t submit directly to Adventus or to the institution. When they click SUBMIT TO YOUR COUNSELLOR, you will be notified of updates made to the application.

You will receive an alert in your Notifications that the student has updated the application.
