Mobile App FAQ

Q.  What type of mobile operating systems do you support?

iOS (Apple) and Android-powered mobile phones.


Q.  I'm on a Starter Plan. Can I still use the app (Application Assistant)?

Yes. As a counsellor, you have access to the app but the Student functionality is limited to Growth Plans and above with the Student Portal. However, if you are on a Starter Plan and would like to trial the Student App (and Student Portal) with your clients, please contact your trusted Adventus.io Account Manager. If you would like to upgrade your plan to Growth or Power you can also do so via the platform by going to Settings My Plan > Change Plan.


Q.  If my students use the student login, will Adventus.io pay me less or no commission?

No! Adventus will not contact your students and if your students are using the app, they cannot contact Adventus. Your students are your students and your claim to commissions based on their enrolment will not be affected in any way, ever.


Q.  If I use the app, will Adventus.io contact my students?

No. Adventus will not contact your students and if your students are using the app, they cannot contact Adventus.


Q.  Can I brand the Adventus.io Application Assistant?

Yes! Your business name will be featured on the Student landing page upon logging into the app. Your phone number will also be available along with the contact information of anyone in your team you nominate in the 'My Agency' section of the Student Login.


Q.  Can I lodge applications through the mobile app? Can my students?

No. Neither course nor visa applications can be initiated, edited, or lodged via the mobile app. These actions can only be done through the counsellor’s access to the web application. Only status updates are viewable once an application is submitted to Adventus.io.

As with the Student Portal, the student is not able to lodge applications through the mobile app. They must go through you, their counsellor for this.


Q.  Can my students contact me through the app?

If you’re on a Growth Plan or above and your students have logged into the app, your students can send messages (SMS, WhatsApp, email) and calls (phone, WhatsApp) to you and any other members of your team that you have set up in your Adventus.io plan.


Q.  Can I upload documents through the app? Can my students?

Yes! By navigating to the 'Documents' section of the app, you and your students can easily upload IDs and documents using the app and your mobile camera.


Q.  Will I miss updates or notifications by not being on the web app?

No. All Messages, Alerts, and News will be available to you just as in the desktop app.


Q.  I'm on a Premium Subscription plan, how do I know if my Student Portal is enabled?

From Wednesday 25 November 2020, the Student Portal was automatically switched on for Growth, Power, and Enterprise plans. Unless you have requested otherwise, it is already enabled and you can start adding students.


Q.  How do I invite my students to use the mobile app?

If you currently use the Student Portal, every new student added will automatically receive an email with a link to both the Student Portal and mobile app. For existing students, simply copy and paste the link below and share it with your students via mobile. Upon clicking the link in their mobile device they will be taken to their respective app store and, once downloaded, can use their Student Portal credentials to log in. https://adventus.page.link/student


Q. What notifications will my student receive?

Your students will not receive any notification in the Student Portal or on the mobile app.


Q.  Does the Student Mobile app have the same features as the Student Portal?

The mobile app serves as a companion piece to the web portal. Some features that are available in the Student Portal are not available in the app. Please refer to the table below for more details:
