Facebook Leads in Platform - Part 1 - Set up Your Workspace

Introduction

The Adventus platform is now integrated with Facebook. This exciting feature, which you can switch on or off, allows you to harvest student leads from Facebook directly into the Adventus platform, with fields automatically populated.
 

Following a simple process, you can create a lead ad form on your business page on Facebook which the student will click on, enter their details and submit. On submission, the details are sent directly to your Adventus account for you to follow up and manage.  This saves time and effort in having to go through the manual process of using lead collection spreadsheets or typing in each student individually.
 

Ad forms are a great way of capturing student leads. The data collected is highly likely to be accurate as the form is set up to auto-populate with the details from the student’s Facebook account.
 

Facebook also allows you to create your lead ad so that it can be viewed on Instagram, Messenger and Audience Network as well as on Facebook. 


Note that the collection of student data is completely private. We have no visibility of students’ details or contact information until you submit an application.


Before you Begin

You will need:

  • A Facebook account

  • Facebook business page(s).  You will need admin access to this page.

  • A Facebook account that is linked to your business page(s)

  • Admin access to your Adventus account

Note:  You will need to grant administrator access to anyone in your business who will be using your Facebook business account to create lead ad forms.
 

The process involves two overall steps - setting up your Adventus Workspace and then Creating a Lead ad on Facebook.  If you have already set up your workspace and are ready to create a lead ad, see the next article: Facebook Leads in Platform - Part 2 - Create Lead Ad Form in Facebook.  

Note that Facebook Lead Integration is automatically switched on in the platform for you to use.

Setting up your workspace

Step 1:  Select a Destination Team for your Leads

a.   Log in to Adventus. 
b.   Select Settings
c.   Select Facebook Lead Integration.
 



d.   Select a Destination Team.  All leads that come into the Platform from Facebook will be associated with this team.


e.   Click Save


Note:  The Parameter Name and Parameter Value sections on this page will be used when creating a Facebook lead ad. The Parameter Value is unique to your workspace.

Step 2:  Subscribe Facebook Pages to Adventus Workspace

a.   At the top of the Facebook Lead Integration page, click Log in with Facebook

b.   Click Edit Settings

c.   The What Pages do you want to use with AdventusConnect?  pop-up screen will display. Select the Facebook page(s) you want to connect to the platform and click Next.

d.   Ensure all the permissions in the list are on (indicated as YES). This will ensure that the leads can be accessed from Facebook.  Click Done.

e.   Click OK to the message that Adventus is now linked with Facebook.

This returns you to your Adventus workspace where you can now see a list of Facebook pages that have been linked with Adventus.

Pages listed can be unsubscribed, if required using the following button:

Clicking the Subscribe button will re-subscribe the page.

Note:  A Facebook page must be subscribed in order to receive leads into Adventus.
