Applications FAQ

Q. How does the single application process work?

Our single application feature makes it easy for you to apply to several institutions at once. On our platform, you can select multiple courses from different institutions across multiple destinations and the platform compiles one single application form. Once you submit the application form, it goes to our Global Admissions team who check it and send it on to the institutions.

Q.  How many applications can I submit for a student?

This will depend upon the subscription plan you have subscribed to. For example, if you are on a Starter plan you can have a limit of 50 applications and you can submit up to 3 applications per student. You have the benefit of submitting more applications if you upgrade to a higher plan. For example, on our Growth plan you can submit unlimited applications with a limit of 5 applications per student. You can find details of our pricing plans here.

Q.  There are some universities that ask for hardcopy documents. How does that work?

Some institutions still have a manual process. In these situations, we follow the institution’s processes. Our Global Admissions team will work with you on this and support you. You can also reach out to our teams using the instant messaging feature on the platform.

Q.  How do we find out what the deadline is for submitting applications?

You can find this information on the platform. Click a course card and select the Course Dates tab. You can also filter a course search based on the intake.

Q.  Will Adventus process a student’s application if they don’t meet a particular requirement?

You can talk to our team and negotiate, and we will be able to support you. Our Global Admissions team will contact universities on your behalf and find out.  We're not going to be unreasonable and we understand that there are lots of students with different potential academic requirements and financial difficulties. We want to support everyone,  but we will also be honest and let you know if we truly believe it can't work.

Q.  Are emails sent directly to the student from the university?

It depends on the university’s policy. It will always usually come to us first but sometimes universities send it directly to the student.

Q.  Who do I pay application fees to and when and how do I pay them?

The application fee is paid to the university at the time of submitting the application to the institution.

Application fees can normally be paid via a payment link directly on the platform. You can use this link yourself or send a request to your student to pay the fees. For more information about how to use this feature, please see the article Application Fee Payment in Platform

If the online service is not available, the payment will need to be done manually. In this case, the student needs to complete the Adventus Payment Form and then send the completed form to the email address indicated on the form. The Global Admissions Officer will use the details included in the form to submit the application to the institution. The fee can be paid by credit card, bank transfer or by Flywire.

Q.  Will you be giving agents application fee waivers?

Adventus has arrangements in this area with a number of partner institutions.  As a value proposition for you, we do offer application fee waivers for these institutions. You can find information regarding application fees on Knowledge Base:  https://adventus.io/application-fees.html

Q. Where can we check updates about the student application?

If there are any updates on your student’s application you will get a notification via the Notification bell in the platform.  If you want to receive notifications via email, go to User Profile, then Notification Settings, then Notifications.

You can also check on the status of a student's application via the Applications tab.

Q.  Does the platform allow students to apply directly?

No.  All applications to the institutions are submitted by you, the recruiter, only.  We do not get involved directly with your student as that would be a conflict of interest. We do not communicate with your students through the platform.

Q.  Will applications go directly to universities or through Adventus?

They will go to Adventus via the Platform.

Q.  What support does the platform provide other than helping students choose a course and university?

Besides giving access to courses across a range of global institutions, our team also supports visa lodgement and in vetting the student's documents.

As well, you have access to our accommodation search directory which allows you to select accommodation for your student near their chosen institution. The directory can be accessed from the Accommodation tab in the course card details. For a step-by-step guide, click here
