Application Fee Payment in Platform

Some institutions (usually United States and Canadian institutions) require an application fee to be paid.

For your convenience, you are now able to make institution application fee payments directly on the Adventus.io platform. This saves the previous manual handling of the application fee that was used between you and Adventus, making for a faster, smoother application process.

Note that we will only ask for payment of the application fee after the application has been lodged with Adventus and reviewed. Payment is a straightforward process.

Receive Alert about Application Fee Payment

If you have an application fee to pay for a student’s shortlisted course, you will receive the following alert under Notifications.

You can click the link in the notification to go to the Applications page for the student. This will take you directly to the relevant application's Details tab. You can also navigate to the relevant application's Details tab in the Applications page after selecting the student.

Click 'Pay Application Fee' or 'Forward to Student for Payment' Link

From here, you can click the Pay Application Fee link against the course to pay the application fee. If the student will be paying the application fee, select Forward to Student for Payment  - see image above.

After clicking the link to forward the payment to the student, you will be asked to confirm that the email address we have for the student in the Adventus.io platform is correct.

Student Receives Email with a Pay Application Fee Link

On clicking Yes to confirm student's email address, the student will receive an email with a Pay Application Fee link.

Direction to a Payment Page to Pay Fee

You or your student enter their email address into the payment page.  This ensures you receive a payment receipt.

Then enter the card details.

Note: Payment methods other than card are not available at this time.

Then click Pay to proceed with the payment.

Receive Receipt of Payment by Email

You will receive an email notifying you that the payment made has been successful.  Note that if your student paid the fee, they will also receive an email notifying them of fee payment.

You can also view the successful payment details in the platform in the Applications page for the student. Here, navigate to the relevant application and select the Details tab.

Receive Automated Message on Platform that the Fee has been Paid

As well as the email receipt, you will also receive an automated message that the fee has been paid in the Messages tab of the relevant application.

What type of payment methods can I use for payment?

At this stage, you can only use your card to make payments.
 

What do I do if I can’t make a payment or if the payment is declined?

Please either contact your Account Manager or reach out to Admissions via message on the platform. An alternative payment arrangement will be made to assist you.
 

What if the application fee is waived for this application, for example, due to an Adventus promotion?

If the application fee is waived for the student’s application, there will be no application fee for you to pay. You will not receive a notification in the platform to pay the fee. In the student’s Applications page, against the relevant application, a note ‘Waived’ will be recorded in the Application Fee field - see image below.

What if the application fee has been waived by the institution?

If the application fee has been waived by the institution, alert our Admissions team via Message. Admissions will overwrite the application fee as ‘0’ in the platform and you will not be required to pay the application fee.
 

How can I get a refund of the fee?

If you are seeking a refund for the application fee payment, please message the Admissions team. You will be directed as to what to do next.
